Sometimes the first step is simply having a conversation with someone who understands.
These sessions offer a private, unhurried space to begin exploring what is going on for you — your feelings, your patterns, the things you keep coming back to. There is no fixed agenda. We go at your pace.
For some women, a single session offers real clarity. For others, regular sessions become a steady support alongside everyday life. And for those who feel drawn to going deeper, counselling can be a natural first step toward one of the Tūāhu programs.

This is my most in-depth offering a private, eight-week journey that brings together counselling and traditional Māori healing.
Over 12 sessions: 8 counselling and 4 Romiromi and Mirimiri. We work together at your pace. Some things are difficult to reach through conversation alone. When something has been held in the body for a long time — old tension, grief, patterns that keep returning working with it directly can open something that talking about it cannot.
Each woman’s journey through this program will look different. What surfaces, the pace, and the focus will be shaped by you, where you are, what you are ready to explore, and what your mind and body need at each stage.

Traditional Māori bodywork sits within the wider practice of Rongoā Māori a holistic approach that honours the relationship between hinengaro (mind and emotions), tinana (physical body), wairua (spirit), whānau (relationships and belonging), and whenua (connection to land and place).
Mirimiri is a gentle form of bodywork that uses intentional touch to encourage relaxation, improve circulation, and help you reconnect with your body.
Romiromi is a deeper bodywork practice that may use sustained pressure, movement, and alignment techniques to ease long-held tension, support freer movement, and develop greater body awareness.
Although Romiromi and Mirimiri share similarities with other forms of therapeutic bodywork, they are grounded in Māori knowledge, tikanga (customs and protocols), and whakapapa (genealogy). They are practised as part of a holistic understanding of wellbeing that has been passed down through generations.
While bodywork is an integral part of the 8-week program, I offer a limited number of standalone sessions each week for those who are curious to experience traditional Māori healing or enjoy the restorative benefits of therapeutic touch.

Book a bodywork sessionHalf-Day Immersive · Small group · In person (Barcaldine) · $90 PP
There is something incredibly powerful about sitting with a small group of women who recognise themselves in each other’s stories.
The Tūāhu Group Workshop is a dedicated, half-day educational immersion designed for women who want to understand their patterns alongside others who truly get it, in a structured, deeply supportive setting.
Together, we will spend a focused morning or afternoon exploring the patterns and reactions that keep showing up in your life where they might have come from, and what it looks like to start responding differently. By packing this work into a single, high-value session, it honours your busy schedule while giving you the exact tools you need to reflect, notice, and integrate change in your daily life.
The group setting means you are never working through this alone.
How it works:
To maintain a safe, intimate space, these workshops are kept to small groups and are run dynamically throughout the year based on community interest. Once enough enquiries are received, a date is set that suits the group.
A complimentary, optional Clarity Call is always available if you have any questions or want to check if the workshop is the right fit for you.
That is exactly what the free clarity call is for. In 15 minutes, I will listen to where you are right now and help you work out whether any of these offerings suit you — and if so, which one. There is no pressure and no commitment required.
